Want to learn Indian classical dance?

We are a London based dance company, promoting Indian classical dance of bharatanatyam in a modern context, training-nurturing dancers and creating productions for stage & screen.

Our approach to dance training

All lessons are personally conducted by our founder Suchismita Ganguly. Find out more about Suchismita here.

—————————————-

We are not just a dance school but a production company as well which means our students get a first hand experience of seeing a dance production being executed both on stage and on film. This helps instilling interest in the art form and develop creativity.

————————————————

We provide structured learning programme at all levels with the opportunity to sit graded exams. Although we understand that not everyone wishes to sit exams.

We appreciate casual learners who want to learn just for fun or for their own mental & physical wellbeing.

Student experiences

“Since coming to London, I did not anticipate that I would find an amazing dance class like this. The classes are very well structured. We participated in shows. Seasonal Hues was a lovely learning experience for me. I did things that I never imagined that I would be capable of. Within a year, my dancing has improved. I have learnt to be confident. Suchismita di has been wonderful in grooming us in a way such that we can cope with our dance easily. She is an amazing teacher. I have learnt a lot since I joined the classes.”

- Alina Chakraborty

“I really enjoyed my time here doing dance classes. I feel that it has helped me in my journey to becoming a better bharatanatyam dancer. It’s a really different dynamic to what I have been used to learning before. I think the classes now have helped me become more confident in my dancing abilities and through the fact that I have been able to do a lot more performances on stage. I have become confident in not only my own abilities but also my abilities to dance in a group of people who I might not have had a lot of experiences with before. I look forward to seeing how I will learn and how I will grow in the future.”
